This painting is sold with accompanying documentation that reads in part: 'In Counting [the] Wildlife at Night, Ian remembers his time working with the National Parks and Wildlife Service in the 1970s. One of his jobs was to count the numbers of introduced species at night using a spotlight. The jauntily painted ute, with its headlights picking out three rabbits, is typical of his work'.
