The accompanying documentation reads in part: 'The painting shows men gathering for a corroboree in Lundun country near the Great Sandy Desert of Western Australia. The grid-like lines are spears. The circles represent waterholes and soaks. The large waterhole ringed in the red at the left of centre is...of two waterholes that the artist used to visit when he lived in the desert as a young man'.
