Condition Report

Glass top: isolated light to medium surface scratches to the writing surface; isolated 'flea bight' losses to the edge in places, consistent with regular use; light abrasion to the edge of the front right corner. The colour to the Black Bean frame and pedestal is generally strong throughout, although it is slightly lighter in some places, particularly to the plinth base, drawer fronts and rear shelf. Minor dings and dents to the edges of the pedestal in places, consistent with use over time. Inscribed signature clear. Drawer linings in good order, one with a loss to the top edge of the left hand side, the second top drawer with ink stains to the interior. Slight separation to between one join between to fluted panels to the top of the pedestal. Oxidisation to the brass caps, consistent with age.
