constructed with one square and one rectangular display surface on two levels, all resting on corner legs some terminating in angular scrolls, the four outer corner legs joined by side stretchers and ending in pad feet, the shaped aprons carved with friezes of linked angular scrolls and archaistic kui dragons and bat motifs, the wood of attractive colour and grain

Condition Report

Some slight shrinkage gaps in the joins of the flush panel tops to the mortice frames. Some slight gaps in the joins of the scroll terminal on one side below the square stand, and gaps in the joins of the scroll terminal below the rectangular stand on one side with a break at the corner join. The four pad feet re-glued. Some paler areas in the wood. A slightly darker square stain approx 5 x 5 cm near one corner of the square panel top. A small area of possibly glue on the rectangular top approx 4 x 1 cm.
