of huanghuali and other woods, the rectangular floating panel top within a mitred frame with rounded corners extending down to form the chamfered square section legs with beaded edge terminating in hoof feet, the front with a pair of drawers with slightly raised panels set with bail handles flanked by two deep drawers set with bail handles on quatrelobed plates

Provenance

Part of a label on the underside reputedly inscribed 'Kingdon' - possibly the explorer and botanist Frank Kingdon-Ward (1885-1958)
