Sotheby's Australia has been a market leader in this country since conducting its first international auctions in 1983. The brand 'Sotheby's Australia' is the subject of a Trade Mark License Agreement with Sotheby's and is operated (under license) by Second East Auction Holdings Pty Ltd.
The Company employs 12 specialists in Australia in five prominent departments which specialise in Australian and International Art; Jewels; Australian and European Fine Furniture; Decorative Arts and Sculpture; Aboriginal and Oceanic Art & Artefacts; Asian Art and Collectors' Motor Cars.
